1. Bike won’t start? Check these 5 things

  • Key unlocked and fully ON. Turn the key from the red (locked) position to the green (ON) position. If the key is not fully ON, the bike will not start.
  • Hold the brake firmly while you press the start button. If the brake is not pressed hard, the engine won’t start.
  • Side stand fully up. With the side stand down, the engine will not start.
  • Red engine stop (kill) switch ON. If it is OFF, the bike will not start.
  • Battery not flat. If the lights and dashboard are dim or don’t come on, the battery may be dead (see below).
Tried all 5 and it still won’t start? Send us a short video on WhatsApp.

2. Key & battery

  • Key locked under the seat: a lock-opening service costs 500–1,000 THB depending on your location, paid by the customer.
  • Dead battery from use (lights left on, ignition left ON without starting, or not riding for a long time): the customer pays the charge or replacement, plus any service or delivery fee.
  • If the battery cannot hold a charge, it counts as a mechanical fault and we will help. We may check the battery before replacing it.
  • Always turn the ignition fully off when you park.

3. Flat tyre

  • Low pressure: pump it up at the nearest bike shop or petrol station.
  • Puncture: send us your location and a photo on WhatsApp.
  • Do not keep riding on a flat tyre — it damages the wheel.
  • Tyre damage that isn’t normal wear is paid by the renter.

4. After an accident

  • Stay calm and move to a safe place if you can. Don’t argue and don’t admit fault straight away.
  • Take clear photos before moving the vehicles (if safe): damage on both vehicles, both licence plates, a wide photo of the location, and close-ups of the damage.
  • Get the other party’s details: full name, phone number, and driving licence or ID card.
  • Contact us on WhatsApp straight away.
  • Hit by a car: don’t leave. If the car is insured, wait at the scene for their insurance officer and let them record the case — their insurance pays. If the other party has no insurance, they pay the full cost, collected on the spot.
  • Hit by another motorbike: collect the damage cost from the other party on the spot. We can help assess the cost.
  • Can’t agree who is at fault? Go to the nearest police station to file a report. The police will decide.
  • If you caused the accident: you can agree compensation with the other party. Take a photo or video of the agreement as proof.
Our motorbikes have no insurance for damage to the bike. All damage caused by the rider is the rider’s responsibility under the rental agreement. See the full motorbike rental terms.

5. Police checkpoints & traffic fines

  • Stay polite and don’t argue with the police.
  • Check the fine on the ticket matches the offence, pay as instructed, and keep all documents and the official receipt.
  • Always carry your driving licence (Thai, or your home licence plus an International Driving Permit that covers motorbikes) and wear a helmet. Riding without a valid licence or IDP: fine up to 1,000 THB.
  • If the police tow the bike: you pay the fine plus a 1,000 THB release fee at the impound yard, and must go to the police station to clear the case. It takes a lot of time — ride safely to avoid it.
  • Serious incident (drunk driving, drugs, cannabis): contact us on WhatsApp immediately. We may be able to help with communication.

Popular questions

My scooter won’t start. What should I check?

Check 5 things: the key is unlocked and turned fully to ON, the red engine stop (kill) switch is ON, the side stand is fully up, you are holding the brake firmly while pressing start, and the battery is not flat. Most starting problems are one of these.

I locked the key under the seat. What do I do?

Message us on WhatsApp with your location. A lock-opening service costs 500–1,000 THB depending on where you are, paid by the customer.

The battery is dead. Who pays?

If the battery went flat from use (lights left on, ignition left ON, or not riding for a long time), the customer pays the charge or replacement and any service or delivery fee. If the battery cannot hold a charge, it is treated as a mechanical fault and we will help. Always turn the ignition fully off when you park.

I have a flat tyre. What should I do?

Don’t keep riding on a flat tyre. If it’s just low, pump it up at the nearest shop or petrol station. If it’s punctured, send us your location and a photo on WhatsApp. Tyre damage that isn’t normal wear is paid by the renter.

What do I do after an accident?

Stay calm and make the area safe. Before moving the vehicles (if safe), take photos of the damage on both vehicles, both licence plates and a wide photo of the location. Get the other party’s name, phone number and licence or ID. Then contact us on WhatsApp straight away. If you can’t agree who is at fault, go to the nearest police station to file a report.

A car hit me. What happens?

Don’t leave and don’t argue. If the car is insured, wait at the scene for the insurance officer and let them record the case. Their insurance pays for the damage. If the other party has no insurance, they pay the full cost, collected on the spot. We can help assess the damage cost.

Is the motorbike insured?

Our motorbikes have no insurance for damage to the bike. The compulsory insurance only covers the rider’s injuries (up to 30,000 THB). If the bike is damaged, the renter is fully responsible for the actual repair bill plus the daily rental rate while it is in repair.

Do I need an International Driving Permit (IDP)?

You need a licence that lets you ride a motorbike in Thailand (a Thai licence, or your home licence with a valid IDP that covers motorbikes). Without one you can be fined up to 1,000 THB at police checkpoints, and you are still responsible for any damage.

I was stopped at a police checkpoint. What should I do?

Stay polite and don’t argue. Check the fine amount on the ticket matches the offence, pay as instructed by the police, and keep all documents and the official receipt. All fines are the renter’s responsibility.

The police took the bike. What now?

You pay the fine, a 1,000 THB release fee at the impound yard, and you must go to the police station to clear the case. This takes time, so always carry your licence and ride safely. All fines and fees are paid by the renter. Contact us on WhatsApp and we will tell you what to do.
